Position Overview:
The MIS Deskside Technician is the front line of our MIS team and
the first impression to internal/external customers. This is a
great opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while
leveraging your technical knowledge and expertise. We are looking
for someone with strong communication and analytical skills, and
the ability to work effectively with customers and co-workers. The
ideal candidate should be motivated and self-directing with
excellent diagnostic ability, interpersonal and communication
skills, and focused on delivering exceptional customer
service.

Qualifications-
What You Bring To The Job:
Bachelors or Associates degree in Information Systems or Computer
Science required
Minimum of one year of professional work experience in information
systems required, preferably in a technical support role
Demonstrated understanding of computer science concepts and a
comprehensive understanding of various operating systems,
networking, systems analysis procedures and techniques, computer
hardware, and a variety of software applications
Working knowledge of laptop and desktop computers
Proficiency in the following: desktop operating system, hardware
technologies, common business software (e-mail, MS Office), virus,
spyware, and adware removal
Working knowledge of networks, VPN support, Cisco switches and
routers
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with a focus
on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills. Ability to
present ideas in user-friendly language
Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities
Strong documentation, time management, and organization
skills
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work hours outside of normal shift as needed
Ability to travel between remote facilities
On-call rotation (7x24) with other team members
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00 with some flexibility in
schedule; 24/7 on-call pager rotation
Travel: Occasional travel between remote facilities--Watertown, WI;
Momence, IL; and Holton, KS)
